Nintendo announced the wii u at this year's e3 which wasn't a surprise to many as the wii was getting old and the sales weren't hitting the record numbers they did during the early years of the platform. The thing that surprised many though was the concept of having a screen on the controller so you can simply continue your gaming session without a tv. The concept seems very interesting and is a risk only someone like Nintendo can take as they did with the wii which was destined to flop according to analysts and hardcore gamers, but we all know that it ended up at the top of the pile in terms of sales figure this generation.
