Who does not want a change in their lifestyle or the way they look? Every individual desires to look their best. The desire to look fit and beautiful has not just engulfed the girls, instead the boys look keen to get a transformation done to look and feel better. Girls usually do so to be in shape and to look beautiful; boys are adopting the route for the same, looking at the changes of this demanding world.

Obesity is definitely an issue to many. Not just girls, even boys want to be in shape and look their best. In their younger ages, they would have been fed royally by their parents and relatives, which show up later as they grow and for some it shows up in their younger ages itself. Therefore, it is necessary to know how much one should consider as an intake to be fit. As a kid, one needs to have a BMI of almost 40 and not beyond that, and if it goes beyond that certain medical precautions or measures need to be considered. Individuals take up dieting and exercising to reduce weight. For some it works wonders, and for some it does not. This is when they approach the doctors for surgeries, through which the extra fat can be taken off from the body allowing them to look and feel fit. If the child is morbidly obese, with BMI that reaches beyond 40, then surgery is recommended helping the child to lead a healthy life. The kid should have reached their adult height before undergoing the procedure, which is a must i.e. boys reach that height at the age of 15 and girls at the age of 14.

The candidate should also have a serious health risk like diabetes, heart disease or other physiological and psychological impairment which could aggravate if not taken care at the earliest. Doctors recommend surgery, only after the tests are done to see if the child is emotionally and psychologically capable of handling the surgery, and if they are dedicated enough to consider the lifestyle transformation, in order to stay fit and live the life a healthy human being without much health risks.

One particular surgery, known as Bariatric surgery, is the most common surgery done for adolescents experiencing morbid obesity. According to studies, chances of losing weight fast for adolescents are possible with the help of this procedure, which is mostly recommended by doctors. However, the long term effects of undergoing the surgery is still an unanswered question by the experts, as it totally depends on the body type. Body definitely goes through a phase of rapid changes and developments, which would allow the doctors to study their patients to understand the affects of the surgery on them. Medical experts have been analyzing the effects of the surgery, to the mind and body of the patient and if it has favorable or adverse effects on them. However, it is confirmed that, there is no problem if morbidly obese candidates with health risks undergo the procedure it would definitely prove beneficial to them.
